Korea University was the nation's first university funded and administered solely by Koreans. The university was founded in 1905 by Lee Young-Ik, Treasurer of the Royal Household, whose idea and vision were that only by educating the younger generations could Korea secure its independence and grow and prosper as a nation. For one hundred years now, Korea University continues to maintain the spirit of its founder. Today, the university strives to educate its students to become effective citizens, highly capable in their chosen fields, who will dedicate themselves to serving the nation and world to the best of their abilities.

ကိုရီးယား တက္ကသိုလ်သည် ဥပဒေ၊ ဆေးပညာ၊ အင်ဂျင်နီယာပညာနှင့် စီးပွားရေးစီမံခန့်ခွဲရေးဆိုင်ရာ ကျွမ်းကျင်သောကျောင်းများကိုလည်း အလွန်နာမည်ကြီးသည်၊၊ ထို့ပြင် တက္ကသိုလ်သည် လူနာများအတွက် အလွန်ကောင်းမွန်သော ဆေးကုသမှုပေးသည့် ကိုရီးယားတက္ကသိုလ် ဆေးရုံကောင်းတစ်ခုကို ထိန်းသိမ်းထားပြီး နောင်နှစ်များတွင် နိုင်ငံနှင့် ကမ္ဘာ့အမှုဆောင်မည့် ကျောင်းသားဆရာဝန်များနှင့် သူနာပြုများကို လေ့ကျင့်ပေးလျှက်ရှိသည်။
